Fix your TMS and Spravato billing
Prior auth drags. Spravato claims come back denied. The J0013 code change caught a lot of clinics flat. I run this workflow every day and I can find where yours is leaking.
Book a billing auditThe three places money gets stuck
- Prior authorization. Slow auths push out start dates and stall the schedule. Missing or wrong documentation gets the auth kicked back, and every kickback costs days.
- The J0013 Spravato change. Esketamine billing moved to the J0013 code. If your claims, units, and site of care did not move with it, they deny. This one trips clinics that had clean billing before.
- First-pass denials. Industry reporting puts first-pass Spravato denial rates around 32 percent. Most of those are fixable at the front end, before the claim ever goes out.
What a billing audit covers
- Your prior auth workflow, start to finish, and where auths stall or get returned.
- How your Spravato claims map to J0013, including units and site of care.
- The documentation that goes out with each claim and what payers are rejecting on.
- A short written list of the specific fixes, in the order that recovers the most money first.
No software to install. No long engagement. You get a clear read on where the leaks are and what to change.
Who is doing the audit
I am Damon Rolnick. I am a TMS coordinator. I run NeuroStar every day and I handle the billing and prior auth workflow as part of the job, not from a spreadsheet at a distance.
I helped grow a TMS practice from 2 to 3 patients a day up to 10 to 12 patients a day. I write RE:Mind Your Practice, a newsletter for TMS and Spravato clinics that now runs 19 issues. I also build the software that supports this work.
I am not a billing company selling seats. I look at your actual workflow and tell you what is broken.
FAQ
What does the audit cost?
Email me and we will scope it. I would rather look at your situation before quoting anything, so the first step is a conversation, not an invoice.
Do I have to switch billing software?
No. The audit is about your process and your claims, not about selling you a product. If a tool would help, I will say so, but that is not the pitch.
Do you work with both TMS and Spravato?
Yes. Both are the daily work. The Spravato side, including the J0013 change, is exactly where a lot of clinics are losing claims right now.
Can you guarantee you will lower my denials?
No one honest can promise a number for your specific clinic. What I can do is show you where your denials are coming from and give you a concrete list of what to fix.
Are you a coder or a clinician?
Neither label fits cleanly. I am a TMS coordinator who runs the practice side hands on and builds software to support it. The audit comes from doing this work, not from theory.
